Every year, I would send my Dad the Pusheen Father’s Day posts because he was a huge cat lover

image

This is the first year without him to send such things to, but I think about and associate him with Pusheen’s dad regardless. Happy Father’s Day, Dad. You were both domestic and handy.

Your art is so cute! How long did it take for you to find your style?

Omg you sent this like a month ago, I’m so sorry for taking so long!!!

Thank you so much for liking my art! It means a lot to me-

As for your question….my whole artistic career.

You never stop growing and learning! It’s important to look at the things you like with a critical eye and figure out WHY you find certain parts appealing. Artists are like an ecosystem where everything interacts with everything else in some way or another. We influence one another constantly, even if it’s unintentional.

I don’t particularly consider myself to have a consistent style tbh- I switch things up pretty often whether it’s medium or anatomy style or even content. Developing a ‘natural’ style to one’s art is more subconscious. If you want to purposefully develop a style, you have to sit down and study what elements you want to be present.

I hope this helps give perspective in how I view Artistic Style and things along those lines!
