Persona Evaluation

I figured I’d do an evaluation of my own self, with my persona, etc

And why I do and don’t do some things while drawing myself

I figure it’s a good sort of exercise to see how you view yourself, which often shows through your persona

Alrighty

First off, I never usually draw myself with anything like boobs or hips or even eyelashes, THINGS that would automatically indicate ‘female’

I’ve just naturally resisted femininity since I was little, and I guess it’s stuck with me in subtle ways despite getting over my issue with things that are pink and dresses

Next, is that I more often than not, don’t colour myself with a skintone. I just remain blank white, almost like the homestuck kids, I guess, but that’s just a comparison

Hair-wise, I did used to have long wavy hair, that I got cut, summer 2012 to something a lot shorter, and actually something I preferred a lot more as well, and as for the persona, I kept the style of hair, but don’t draw it as long anymore

Then comes the whole STRING MONSTER alternate persona form, that ACTUALLY formally began once I had created Paint-ler. I needed a small, simple way to draw myself as a mod, and I used that specific form, eventually giving it the name 'string monster’ because of the string-like limbs and inhumane/animal features

SPEAKING OF animal features, the time I had originally come up with the basic design of my persona, I was still in my weeaboo days, and fox/cat ears and tail were a must. I had initially planned on dropping the ears and tail, but found that without them, my persona was pretty plain and missing something. So I figured, the ears and tail really just tie the whole package together

Looking at the contrast from my persona to my more realistic self has made me realize how differently I am from the physical  appearance of 'Momo’, but, I find that it’s almost just like another form I take

Momo isn’t a different personality or anything, it’s still ME, just a different way that I present myself, on the outside

On the inside, I’m the same

And I think that’s something I’m pretty content with
